So, its called a GTower.
It is the first building in Malaysia to achieve the globally recognised BCA Green Mark GOLD award (Provisional) from Singapore's Building & Construction Authority.
What is a BCA Green Mark?
This Scheme was launched by the Building and Construction Authority in January 2005 to promote environmental awareness in the construction and real estate sectors. It aims to achieve a sustainable built environment by incorporating best practices in environmental design and construction, and the adoption of green building technologies.
The Green Mark assesses five key environmental areas:
Energy Efficiency ; Water Efficiency ;Environmental Protection ;Indoor Environmental Quality
and Other Green Features . Proud to say, the GTower is 20 per cent more energy-efficient than a normal building and they achieved the GOLD rating.
We feel that the idea, A pay-as-you-use billing system for the use of air-conditioning by its tenants is very useful.
Not only it can prevent tenants to waste electricity, it can also let the tenants have awareness of it as they will have to pay for the amount they used.
yups, so CONGRATULATIONS to the GTower for sucessing of getting GOLD!
